Recently, HMD Global launched its latest mid-range smartphone called Nokia X7 a.k.a Nokia 7.1 Plus in China and Nokia 8.1 is in the works. X7 is the first Nokia smartphone to come powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.

Now, the Nokia 8.1 was spotted on Geekbench with the same Upper Mid-Range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset also properly reported with a legible model number and a base frequency of 1.7 GHz – exactly as expected. According to Geekbench, the device will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie when it goes on sale.

The new 10nm Snapdragon 710 SoC on the Nokia 8.1 will come accompanied with 4GB of rounded-up system RAM. On Geekbench test the smartphone has scored single core of 1841 and 5807 on multi-core tests.

HMD Global has already promised that all the earlier Nokia devices to get the Android 9.0 Pie before the end of this year. The Nokia 7 Plus has already received Android 9.0 Update and Nokia 6.1 Plus will be getting it in any time soon.
